Texapore material is always waterproof, windproof and breathable. Texapore fabrics consist of a water-repellent impregnated outer fabric and a waterproof PU membrane or waterproof PU coating applied on the inside. The material on the inside is complemented by a supple inner fabric.

The Glacier Canyon Parka is a two-layer jacket. With two-layer jackets, the membrane is connected to the outer fabric. On the inside, the membrane is protected by a loose liner. This liner is not attached to the membrane. Two-layer jackets are more flexible than three-layer jackets and are ideal for everyday use as well as for hiking with a light backpack. If you go hiking for several days with a heavy backpack you better buy a three-layer jacket.

Blue Sign

The BlueSign label indicates that no harmful substances have been used in the production process. Companies with a BlueSign label are obliged to draw up a sustainability plan that pays attention to water consumption, energy consumption and waste management. BlueSign also has guidelines for safe and healthy working conditions, but this is not specifically checked.

PFC free

The Glacier Canyon Parka is produced without the use of environmentally polluting fluorocarbons (PFCs). The use of PFCs in the textile finish ensures that clothing becomes water, dirt and grease repellent. An alternative finish without the use of PFCs has been used in this jacket. This makes the product water and dirt repellent. Only an oil repellent effect cannot currently be achieved with a PFC-free finish.
