The Go Hike Jacket is a women's jacket from Jack Wolfskin. This lightweight all-weather jacket is very suitable for walks. The special TEXAPORE ECOSPHERE PRO material makes this jacket waterproof, windproof and very breathable. The hem and hood are both adjustable and, together with the pre-shaped elbows, provide freedom of movement when necessary. In addition, the jacket has four pockets, where you can easily store everything you want to have quickly at hand. The Jack Wolfskin Go Hike Jacket is made of 100% recycled polyester, weighs 335 grams (size S) and has a regular fit.
Polyester is a synthetic material made from petroleum. It is a durable, smooth fabric that feels soft. In addition, it is lightweight, does not need to be ironed and dries quickly. Unfortunately, polyester is not biodegradable, but it is recyclable. If the product is used and maintained properly, it will last longer, making the product sustainable in the long term. This makes recycled polyester a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative.
Twice as breathable and an even better water column value: the fully recycled membrane TEXAPORE ECOSPHERE PRO made of 100% polyester is the sustainable option for your all-weather protection and uses less CO2 during production.
With TEXAPORE ECOSPHERE PRO you are well equipped to face very high challenges and tough weather conditions. Absolutely windproof, very waterproof* and excellent breathability**. The outer material, membrane and lining are completely recycled.
The outer material consists of recycled PET bottles and is completely PFC-free. The membrane is Zero Waste! The membrane is made from the cutting residues from production. This means no more waste is created. And the lining of the TEXAPORE ECOSPHERE jackets also consists of completely recycled material and is certified according to the Global Recycling Standard.
* Waterproof: 20,000 mm
**Breathability: 15,000 g/m²/24hrs
The Jack Wolfskin Go Hike Jacket is produced without the use of environmentally polluting fluorocarbons (PFCs). The use of PFCs in textile finishing ensures that clothing becomes water, dirt and grease repellent. The Jack Wolfskin Go Hike Jacket uses an alternative finish without the use of PFCs. This makes the product water and dirt repellent. Only an oil-repellent effect cannot currently be achieved with a PFC-free finish.
The BlueSign label indicates that no harmful substances have been used in the production process. Companies with a BlueSign label are required to draw up a sustainability plan with attention to water consumption, energy consumption and waste management. BlueSign also has guidelines for safe and healthy working conditions, but these are not specifically monitored.
Fair Wear Foundation is committed to better working conditions. They have developed a code of conduct for this. Companies affiliated with Fair Wear Foundation must commit to improving working conditions.
